How We Are Protecting Ourselves From Identity Theft
This article, or image to be more precise, has satirical written all over it. It makes fun of everybody in the world who has access to the internet, laughing at their ways to protect their identity in a very insecure place. The article shows percentages on billboards with the different methods that many inexperienced people use to hide their identity from unneeded attention. What many people don't realize is that almost every method many try is completely useless against a hacker of any caliber, especially when you don't do anything at all (which is what apparently 17% of people do) and just hope for the best. To top it off, the image even adds little mustaches to the tops of each billboard to mock these methods even further, stating that 'Your safety precautions are as flimsy as hiding your face with a fake mustache.
It seems that many people believe themselves to be Clark Kent: Hoping that nobody will find out who they truly are if they just put on a pair of glasses.
